Canonical is hiring a remote Security Engineering Manager to lead the AppArmor team. The role focuses on developing security features to protect Ubuntu users worldwide and driving open-source security innovation. What you will do • Lead and develop a team of engineers from graduate to senior levels • Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback • Identify and measure team health indicators • Implement disciplined engineering processes • Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers • Collaborate with other leaders in the security engineering team What they ask for • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English • Track record of developing and growing people • Proficient in C with a good understanding of Linux kernel development • Experience working with Linux Security Modules • Solid experience in an agile development environment • Ability to travel twice a year for up to two weeks
